The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

Research and Application of Intelligent Consultation and Diagnosis Platform with Intelligent Materials for Rice Pests and Diseases
Intelligent materials had been widely used in many fields such as medical, civil construction and aerospace fields, but in agricultural field, there were little applications reported. At present, general PDA equipments could not meet the requirements of data collection as the weakness such as GPS signals were poor, didn't possessed dusk, shockproof, waterproof ability, these problems would be solved easily if these equipments were made based on intelligent materials. In this paper, the basic concept, function and application of intelligent materials were introduced, some key problems such as knowledge base, reasoning machine were explained, at last, the application prospect of intelligent materials were analyzed.
