e-infrastructure Roadmap for Open Science in Agriculture

A bibliometric study

The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. Title

Information complex models of agriculture objects

en
Abstract

On the basis of the law on cycle of matter in the nature the dialectic scheme of interrelation of objects of an agricultural production is offered: the earth, plants, animals, machinery and environment. The paradigm of a dataware of technological processes of an agricultural production is offered. Information models of machine-tractors aggregate and agrophytocenosis (parts and a plant as a whole, a phytosanitary condition - diseases, pests, weeds) are offered. Currently there was accurate clear-eyed enough understanding of subject and backbone branches of knowledge and their role in formation of a gross national product (GNP). Subject sciences define prospects of development of concrete branches and are the basic generators of their development and qualitative growth. Information technologies is in certain understanding system knowledge of the interbranch character directed on creation of additional cost in branches, both on branch and on inter-branch levels. It shouldn`t identify information technology with technology (s) of informatics. The technology of informatics is only a part of information technologists [ 1] as the last is a branch of knowledge, and the first is a whole set of methods (including. computer programs) and means (devices, information-measuring systems, computers etc.). We divide approaches to agroinformatics and to agroinformation technologies by analogy. The branch character of agroinformatics in the general system of the informatics, connected with unity of objects of consideration in agrarian sphere, is underlined thereby. The earth, plants, animal, machinery, environment and society act as objects in the generalized view in agrarian sphere. The subject branch of knowledge of agrarian (agricultural) sciences study the processes proceeding in objects of agrarian sphere, and also processes of their interactions.
