The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.
This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. If you have any comment or feedback on the bibliometric study, please use the online form.

A networked monitoring and control system for a large - scale poultry farm is developed based on distributed data acquisition and network control techniques. Using embedded web server and video server as an intelligent node, each laying house is connected to the network of the poultry farm as a unit. The mohitoring system applies new techniques such as movable vidicon and wireless video telecommunications. It features monitoring the laying house at all orientation, and video telecommunicating through Internet. All video information and environmental parameters are sent to central computer, which is in charge of storing data, displaying images and communicating to for Internet. Managers can remotely monitor and antrol real time production environments and customers with authorizations can also view the healthy layers through Internet if. This paper discusses view designs and applications of the networked monitoring and control system. The system applies web service technology using Java and XML language. The program runs in the central computer and improves data management, system security and compatibility. As a part of poultry farm networked management system, networked monitoring and control system has been applied in a farm with 400, 000 layers. Tests reveals that the egg yield rate increased and the death rate declined.
