e-infrastructure Roadmap for Open Science in Agriculture

A bibliometric study

The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. The comparison of Sino-US logistics network in agricultural products

Abstract

Whether the service system, operation mode, support system for agricultural product logistics is perfect or not directly affects the whole development of agricultural product logistics. The most obvious characteristic of agricultural product logistics in U.S is it takes the developed agriculture information flow as the foundation of developing agricultural product logistics. This article compares the infrastructure, information technology in agricultural product logistics and quality of talents in agricultural product logistics information between china and U.S; it could tell that the difference is huge. China should introduce advanced information technology in agricultural product logistics, and gradually realize automation and networking in logistics operation of agricultural product. Whether the logistics service system, operation mode, support system for agricultural products is perfect or not directly affects the whole development of agricultural product logistics, and then affects the operating efficiency and quality of national economy, which relates fundamental interests of the development process of agricultural industrialization and modernization, producers and consumers. U.S has a developed agricultural information flow, and has developed a technical system of modern agriculture logistics which takes information technology as a core and was supported by professional technologies such as agricultural information technology, transportation technology, packaging technology and so on.
