The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

The issue of using renewable energy sources (RE) in the context of sustainable development is one of the basic precondition for prosperity and environmentally friendly manufacturing and production. RE is an important part of the economic policies of each country and only their effective use can greatly contribute to a sustainable, effective and more secure growth of economic stability. Mapping of RE by the most recent information technology tools and geographical information systems (GIS) can show the untapped potential sites for the location of renewable energy and thus help to increase their use. The contribution is through the use of GIS mapping of renewable energy in the Kosice region.
