e-infrastructure Roadmap for Open Science in Agriculture

A bibliometric study

The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. Title

TIME EFFICIENCY OF KNOWLEDGE CODIFICATION FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

en
Abstract

Recently, the emphasis is to promote education and knowledge transfer in agriculture. This education should be effective. It is necessary that the financial resources expended on the education and transfer of knowledge are an investment and not a cost. This paper focuses on measuring the time-consuming codification of knowledge in the field of composting. Codification is performed using three representations of knowledge - production rules, semantic networks and knowledge units. The aim is to determine which representation is the most effective in terms of codification and its time-consumption. In the future this most effective representation will be used for creating educational texts that is useful for farmers and generally could be useful for other professions too. The educational texts may be the basis for a future knowledge system focused on the problem domain in agriculture in the Czech Republic.
