e-infrastructure Roadmap for Open Science in Agriculture

A bibliometric study

The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. en
Abstract

Generally, waqf is an essential instrument that is used to develop Muslim economy besides zakat. It has eventually established the ownership and the asset sharing among the Islamic community in Malaysia. Waqf is not limited in contributing money only but can also be performed by lands or permanent asset contribution. The Muslims society is aware of practicing Waqf since it is beneficial to the Muslims and at the same time can help those needy people such as the poor, orphans and others. This study focuses on the development of web-based waqf of tree information management system or formerly known as WaTIMS. The development of this system is motivated due the fact that the difficulties in collecting capitals and donations for waqf lands development and unattractive waqf donation promotions. Assisted by the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, the WaTIMS is hoped to manage the waqf administration in order to increase the earnings from agricultural sector. This paper will discuss in details the development of WaTIMS and the proposed framework for WaTIMS from the feasibility study until the design phase.
