e-infrastructure Roadmap for Open Science in Agriculture

A bibliometric study

The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. Remote Monitoring and Control of Agriculture

en
Abstract

This paper mainly describes the applying of Internet Of Things (IOT) technique in agriculture, both monitoring and control. In this system, the index values in the field such as temperature can be collected by wireless sensor system and uploaded to the internet, making it accessible by all the authorized visitors. In addition to the simply displacement of the data, we also make it possible for manger to realize remote control through system by simply typing in control index on the website. In this way, the network will be powerful because it combines monitoring and control together through internet. Remote control technique requires active sending message from the web server to host computer, which contradict the traditional way of communication. To implement this function, we designed a specific visiting method to give the control information from the website to the host computer.
