The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.
This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. Spatio-Temporal Reasoning and Query of Agricultural Geographic Information Based on Geo-Ontology and SWRL
This paper brings forth building spatio-temporal reasoning architecture and spatio-temporal query system based on adopting geo-ontology to represent spatio-temporal information knowledge and employing SWRL rules to express spatio-temporal reasoning rules. When carrying through spatio-temporal reasoning this paper adopts Jess to be a reasoner, which is the core of the whole architecture. Before carrying through reasoning this paper transforms geo-ontology and SWRL rules into fact base and rule base of Jess. After carrying through reasoning this paper uses obtained new facts to update original geo-ontology. In spatio-temporal query system this paper adopts input interface employing geo-ontology to conduct query requirement, and divides spatio-temporal query into three levels such as ordinary spatio-temporal query, simple spatio-temporal query based on semantics and complicated spatio-temporal query based on semantics. Under the background of experiment system of digital tobacco 3S, this paper develops spatio-temporal query architecture of agricultural geographic information based on geo-ontology and SWRL spatio-temporal reasoning rules. Through comparing and analyzing experiment result, this paper points out that spatio-temporal reasoning and spatio-temporal query based on geo-ontology and SWRL rules are future development orientation of spatio-temporal query of agricultural geographical information. The experiment case can provide powerful support for decision-making and management of planting tobacco.
