The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.
This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. Latvia University of Agriculture Faculty of Information Technologies realizes statistics courses for the Bsc, Msc and PhD students of the agricultural science. The basic topic for the Bsc level statistics course is real data analysis, when the previous steps in representative data collection were already made. In Msc level statistic course students define themselves the problem, collect data and analyze it. For the PhD course in statistics the main purpose is not only the previous defined tasks but also the experimental design of agricultural data. The Faculty of Information Technologies provides the statistical courses, based on theoretical and ICT components. The courses consist of statistical theory and practical parts using different statistical programs for data analysis. For the PhD students the main subject is general liner model (GLM) The major statistical question is to develop model for experimental data analysis. The model constructions depend of experimental design methods and factors which will be include in the experiment.
