The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

With the development of scientific technology, agricultural production level has been increased rapidly. Facing the large amount of agricultural information, the decision maker should accept more operable measurements to enhance the information management efficiency in agricultural region. Because the agricultural information system is a multiple dimensional system, we should apply a comprehensive evaluation method, which can deal with multiple inputs and multiple outputs, to measure the efficiency of agricultural information management. Data Envelopment Analysis, denoted as DEA, is a peer evaluation model to calculate relative efficiency for DMUs in multiple dimensional systems. Therefore, we applied DEA to measure the efficiency of agricultural information management in China. By using the statistic data of agricultural information management, the efficiency was calculated in this paper. The calculation results can provide useful information on decision making in agricultural information management in China.
