The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

In this article, we present our experience on how knowledge is acquired in the practical sessions of the subject "Fundamentals of Agricultural and Food Engineering" (second year), which are supported by videos uploaded to the PoliformaT educational platform of UPV (Universitat Politecnica de Valencia). This was a compulsory requirement to obtain the Agriculture Engineering Degree in the academic year 2012-2013. This experience was evaluated by comparing the marks that students received for the reports they completed in the academic year 12-13 with those completed in the previous academic year (11-12), in which no videos were uploaded. The students' answers were very good, and most of them had largely achieved the learning outcomes with higher marks than in the previous course.
