e-infrastructure Roadmap for Open Science in Agriculture

A bibliometric study

The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. Title

The analysis of econometric relationship between rural informatization and agricultural economic growth in China

en
Abstract

Nowadays information is an important factor and new strong impetus in economic and social development, so it is not exceptive to rural development. However, how to weigh the contribution of information technology to countryside? According to the model of Cobb-Douglas' production function and Solow's improved model, a new model of relationship was built up between rural informatization and agricultural economic growth in this research, and the rural information indexes of every province in China were gotten, which was the key part in measuring the rural informatization. Through econometric analysis, there were obviously positive relationship between the index of information and the index of GDP per worker in agriculture, and the coefficient of informational elasticity was very big and statistically significant. So we should actively develop informatization and increase its level in agriculture under preventing plantation from decreasing in future.
