The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.

Case Study on the Use of the Information System in Decision-Making Process of Farms - South-Muntenia Region of Romania
This paper presents a practical approach of developing feasibility studies, business plans and development strategies, through the implementation of an information system by managers of farms, for economic ratiocination and minimizing the losses caused by risk, which will help the increase of their competitiveness. It will be used an information system of analysis and calculation of production activity, applicable for all types of farms: vegetal, livestock or mixed. The information system provides the means to simultaneously coordinate management, information technology and production, is basically a tool that improves the quality of decisions and makes the information more accessible to users. The studies results may determine and stimulate farmers to use, at farm levels, of information applications, for the purpose of self-assessment of performance of production activities during a crop year. Also, the results obtained can help the creation of a database both at the level of farmers and at the level of agricultural research, because such information, resulting in technical and economic reports, will enter in the research and processing circuit, providing a real and objective image on the Romanian agriculture performance.
